How do I get my data file to work with my web pages?

Upload the .mdb file on the server, for example to a "private" directory (it is inaccessible from web). Create new CF DSN for your database, steps are below:

  1. Login to your Plesk control panel, on your Home page, click the required domain name, go to ColdFusion DSN and click Add New ColdFusion DSN.
  2. Specify the data source name and select Microsoft Access in the Driver menu. Click Next >>.
  3. Specify full path to your database file in "Database file" field. Full path to your private directory is c:\Inetpub\vhosts\YourDomainName.com\httpdocs\new folder
  4. Specify username and password for your database in appropriate fields (if any) or just check "Use default username" checkbox.
  5. Click Create to finish.

Please note, if you want to update your database via your application, you should set modify permissions on your database file for IWAM_Plesk(default) user. You can do this via Plesk file manager, please check the following documentation for more info:
